Department Service - 2017
Dept. Service: Communication - 2017
On a regular basis, I communicate with my supervisors, several faculty members, and academic counselors via e-mail, Skype, iMessage, or phone. To the left are screenshots of the e-mails from 2017 that I had with the head of the photography department, Doug Barkey, and my supervisors, Mary Yates, Ted Fisher, and Effi Karakaidos, along with emails from those I worked with at NITT Limited as an SME.
Dept. Service: Meetings - 2017
As an Assistant Professor, I attended all of the required meetings and some of the optional meetings. To the left are screenshots of the different meetings I have attended in 2017 as a faculty member and as an SME. Some of these meetings included the “User Engagement Task Force” meeting in March, the “Faculty Standards” meeting in April, “Tracking Student Engagement” in September, Brightspace Training meetings, and several online meetings related to writing the course and creating content for a new course, “PHOA232: Portraiture I”.
Dept. Service: conference - 2017
I attended a few of the meetings within the “Faculty Conference” that took place in the Fall of 2017. This particular conference was heavily focused on the new Pinnacle Course Format.
Dept. Service: Portfolio review - 2017
Upon being hired as a Senior Full Time Faculty Member, I have participated in multiple BS, AA and Certificate Portfolio Assessments within our Photography Department. We have accessed the portfolios in different ways in order to review them: via Sharepoint or Teamwork.edmc.edu. Scores are usually based off of the following criteria seen to the left. The portfolio reviews are helpful to ensure they were able to successfully complete specific tasks in both the photographic and business world.
Dept. Service: Brightspace training - 2017
In the beginning of 2017, AIPOD began to use Brightspace as their online format for the classroom (instead of eCollege). I was one of the first faculty members to use this new platform and reported any issues found to Doug Barkey. An orientation of the new platform was required along with regular communication with Doug Barkey. Below is a video about the training:
