Faculty & Personal Development - 2016

Faculty Development - Courses Offered within AIPOD

While teaching at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division (AIPOD) in 2016, I attended multiple faculty development sessions and conferences offered both inside and outside of the school.  Options to earn development hours are posted within the school’s Faculty Commons either as video tutorials or as PDFs to download. These opportunities were also e-mailed to faculty members on a monthly basis.  Faculty members were also able to sign up for monthly online meetings hosted by the Educational Services Department. I took 16 Faculty Development courses through AIPOD; 14 of these are recorded in Halogen (including the Required Learning courses) and the 2 additional are documented via e-mail (to the left).

Faculty & Personal Development - Course with Cinnamon wolfe

At the end of January, I took an individual course (2 hours) with photographer Cinnamon Wolfe to learn more about website design using Squarespace and SEO. This course was vital not only to my own photography business but I was also able to pass on the information to my students to assist them with their own businesses.
