Course Description

This course is designed for those with a budding wedding portfolio who want to take their skills to the next level. Students will continue to shoot new work focusing on real “weddings, elopements, and engagements” and stylized sessions to enhance their portfolios. Turning toward the business side of wedding photography, students will develop a workflow that focuses on marketing, communication, scheduling, contracts, model releases, editing, product and album design, accounting, and taxes. Students will enhance their knowledge of working with cameras, lenses, flash/strobe, and post-production software. Students will examine different contemporary wedding photographers and will discuss the various components that make their work successful. Via their weekly assignments, students will create a new series of images that show a clear understanding of the course concepts.
